Technical specifications of SPRUT moduls
Designed to create fast-acting automatic fire extinguishing systems based on them, which are used for the protection of objects where the occurrence of Class A, B, C fires, and live electrical installations up to 35 kV is possible. They can be used as an autonomous fire extinguishing means (without external power sources) to protect small volume objects (garage boxes, diesel compartments, painting chambers, containers, etc.).
Depending on the design of the shut-off and spray device that ensures the distribution of fire-extinguishing powder in the protected area, the modules have two basic modifications – SPRUT(v) and SPRUT(s). The modules of the basic modifications V and S (SPRUT-1v, SPRUT-1s, SPRUT-3v, SPRUT-3s, SPRUT-6v, SPRUT-6s, SPRUT-9v, SPRUT-9s, SPRUT-12v, SPRUT-12s, SPRUT-15v, SPRUT-15s), according to DSTU3972-2000 (National Standard of Ukraine), due to their inertia, belong to fast-acting fire extinguishing systems; modules SPRUT-1 are impulse action modules (duration of extinguishing agent discharge up to 0.5s), while other sizes are short-term action modules (duration of extinguishing agent discharge from 1.2 to 5s).
SPRUT(v) modules mainly provide a volumetric method of fire extinguishing, while SPRUT(s) modules mainly provide a surface method of fire extinguishing. These modules are intended for use as part of automatic fire extinguishing systems.
For autonomous fire extinguishing, modules of construction design 01 or 02 of both basic modifications should be used, which differ in that design 01 does not have an electromechanical actuator (EMA) but has a pressure indicator (PI), while design 02 does not have an electromechanical actuator and pressure indicator.
For example, SPRUT-9v-01 or SPRUT-12s-02. Modules of these mentioned construction designs are mostly installed on the ceiling.

SPRUT Powder Fire Extinguishing Modules (MPP) are an effective means for extinguishing Class A, B, C, and E fires, both in small quantities (garages, electrical cabinets, containers, diesel equipment, etc.) using autonomous modifications, and in large volumes and areas (workshops, warehouses, oil and gas storages, cable vaults, etc.) using the possibility of constructing automatic modification fire extinguishing systems.
